Activities are used in several ways in Eralis Job, including:
- Control who can access and transact against jobs.
- Adjust pricing to project specific pricing.
- Provide feedback using the standard SAP Business One calendars regarding the work allocation of staff.
- Contribute toward scheduling in the Eralis Microsoft Integration scheduling.
- Provide work commitments for staff in the field via Eralis Anywhere or Eralis Service Pro application.
Note that Eralis Service Pro has been replaced by Eralis Anywhere.
In the system setup and configuration, there is an option to enable the creation of activities for scheduled tasks. With this option enabled, the system will create an activity for each new scheduled task bar created. If a quote line is also being created, the system will link the activity and quote line.
Activities will not be created for non-productive scheduling. Activities will only be created for staff resources. The HR record in SAP Business One must be linked to a valid SAP Business One user account for the link to be created.
When the activity is created, the following field values are set:

| UDF - JobID | Master Job ID. |

| UDF - Quote Line Seq No. | The sequence number of the quote line if the system created a quote line at the same time. |
| UDF - Work Hours | The work hours required for the activity. |
