Direct Time Entry allows the company to record any labor or staff related effort associated to the jobs they are working on. Staff labor normally comprises a very large element of the costs associated to the job, as well as the costs associated to the company. Therefore, by accurately tracking where the time is spent by staff members, the company has access to a detailed analysis of what people are working on. The company can then establish how best to recover that time.
The Direct Time Entry module allows you to record time for both staff and resources, with resources being assets owned by the company and used on a job. There are several ways to record or capture timesheet entries:
1. With the Direct Time Entry screen accessed via the Transactions menu or via the Transactions tab - New Button on the Job and Subjob.
2. Via Job Card entry.
3. From web-based time entry options (like Eralis Anywhere).
4. From Job Scheduling.
The Direct Time Entry screen uses standard grid entry to record the timesheets and is intended for bulk data entry. This screen allows the user to record multiple jobs, multiple staff members, multiple days, etc.
