Within Direct Time Entry there is the option to create draft batches in timesheets. This allows the user to save a timesheet batch as a draft and recall it at a later stage. When a batch is saved as a draft, it is put into a suspended state and it is not posted against the job. However, the user can still see the draft transactions on the job. When the job is opened, there will be a warning stating that there are unposted transactions in existence. In the Actual Transactions tab of the job, the user can see the details of the draft transactions. Please note that there have been no financial journals processed for the draft transactions.
Recall Draft Batches
To recall a draft batch, put the form into Find mode and the batch ID will become searchable. When a search is executed, all batches will be displayed. To filter the list to draft batches only, check the Show Only Draft Batches option.
Please note that you cannot make changes to a batch that has a status of Posted. Changes can only be made to batches that have been saved as a draft. Once the draft has been completed, click the OK button to post the batch to the job as a normal timesheet.
