Eralis Job offers the ability to create new Jobs or Subjobs by copying existing Jobs or Subjobs. The ability to do so makes the creation of the Job structure a quicker process in situations where the work being done is either similar to work that was done before, or where the work being done has a pre-defined structure and value which does not vary between instances of carrying out the work.
Once a new Job has been created through copying a previous Job, there is no further link between the two Jobs, they can then be dealt with completely independently. This provides the ability to create a new Job based on a similar Job, but then still update the new Job with all the specific details that are required for that instance of the work being done. This includes altering the customer involved along with any quote information on the Job.
Copying a Master Job
When copying a Master Job, the following can be copied across:
- Activities linked to the source Master Job.
- Subjobs attached to the source. If you choose to copy the linked Subjobs then you have additional options to:

- Copy any quote details linked to the Subjobs. If you choose to copy the quote details then you also have the option to copy the activities linked to the quote lines.
- Any contract and contract details that may be linked to the source Job.
The process of copying a Job starts on the My Jobs screen.
