The Stock Return Entry screen allows you to cancel inventory transactions against a Job and return stock back to a warehouse in SAP Business One. The material Job line will be cancelled off the Job, resulting in the cost of the transaction being removed from the Job, while the inventory item is moved out of the work-in-progress (WIP) warehouse and into the selected warehouse.
This process is different from a stock transfer and will consist of a Goods Issue from the WIP warehouse and a Goods Receipt into the selected warehouse. Both the Goods Issue and Goods Receipt are standard SAP Business One journal entries. When the Goods Receipt is created, the receiving warehouse is debited and the Stock Movement Variance account is credited, clearing out the account so no balance is left remaining. This account is defined in the Eralis Job System Initialization.
Rather than cancelling lines individually, multiple lines can be cancelled at once using the stock return function.
