The creation of the SAP Business One company database connections is a primary function which allows you to use the single Eralis SAP Services Manager instance to run services against multiple company databases.
The connection information requires the details of the SQL server that the company databases reside on, along with the details of an SAP user that needs to be used when connecting to the SAP company database.
Please note: When the Eralis SAP Services Manager initiates a service and connects to the SAP Business One company database, the system will use an SAP Business One license assigned to the identified user. If the user license is not available due to the user being currently logged in twice, or, if the user does not have a license assigned, the service will fail and the transactions will not be processed. The Eralis SAP Services Manager will release the license as soon as it has completed the instance of processing and only use it again when it needs to process the next batch.
Please note: The service will only be able to successfully process the required transactions if the license allocated to the user permits the transaction to be carried out, and the user has the required authorization to do so.
The Connection Manager can be accessed from the Eralis SAP Services Manager menu, or from the Connections button on the main Eralis SAP Services Manager screen.
The user will initially be presented with a list of connections that have been configured. This gives the user the ability to see the status of the connections, create new connections, or edit existing connections as needed.
