Within Eralis Job, there are a number of functions that need to be carried out manually, or else require an event to occur within the system, for the function to be completed. A prime example of this type of function is the need for users to manually run the Web Import function to import transactions from the temporary tables into Eralis Job. The Eralis SAP Services Manager has been developed in order to provide the infrastructure to allow functions to be carried out without user intervention. This utility will allow the engine to run multiple services in order to carry out different functions.
The Eralis SAP Services Manager is a utility application that is available to control and run multiple services against multiple SAP Business One companies. The application runs outside of SAP Business One (preferably on the SAP Business One server) and controls the scheduling and execution of the various services and service instances that have been configured.
The application has three main components to it:
- The Eralis Common database which is used to hold all the required information relating to the setup and execution of the services.
- The Connection Manager, which contains all the connection information for the relevant SAP Business One company databases.
- The Services which are installed and controlled by the Eralis SAP Services Manager.
