Some basic background on the report viewer is that it is not part of the add-on and as such does not use any part of the SAP Business One connections. It is a completely separate set of executable files and requires only three files: EnpriseReports.exe, EralisReportViewer.exe and EnCryptLib.dll.
When the user runs a report (whether it is a report from the main menu or a layout from a popup screen in Eralis Job), what the system will do is execute the EnpriseReportViewer.exe file (based on the path that is stored in the Eralis System Initialization setup) and pass the following parameters to the executable:
The report name
The database name
The SQL server name
The SQL user
The SQL user password
In situations where Report Writer will not run, try the following steps.
- There should a file called ENCRYPTLIB.dll in the same directory as the EnpriseReportViewer.exe .
- It may be the user's access preventing them from running the Report Writer due to registry restrictions - try logging in as administrator and repeating the process.
- Is the report file in a constant location which the system can access?
