All users have the same issue - when they try to open a report, nothing is returned, no error message, nothing.
On the server, you get a Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger message saying An unhandled win32 exception occurred in EnpriseReportViewer.exe.
The Report Writer issue is due to the connection method used to connect Eralis Job to the SQL database. When defining the connection setup there is the option to either enter SQL credentials or choose to use a trusted connection – which is the option that is probably selected.
In our release documentation we added the following details about this connection method:
The Report Writer does not support trusted connections. If you are using Report Writer reports, you are not able to use trusted connection and need to continue to use named SQL users. If you are running Crystal Reports and forms within Eralis, these can work with trusted connections.
Change the connection setting away from Trusted Connection to SQL named users – the reports will run.
This change to the connection setting will need to be done on the other machines that connect to the system. To change the connection method you will need to run the Eralis_Setpassword.exe utility which can be found in the Eralis Job Add-On directory. Please ensure that you choose the right click Run as Administrator option when launching the Eralis_Setpassword.exe utility.
