The chosen method of importing Job lines will vary based on several factors:

• Has a GL balance for WIP been imported as part of the General Ledger setup?
• Does the customer want to import transactional history into Eralis Job?
• Does the customer want to import transactional opening data into Eralis Job?

In general, the more detail to be imported, the more time consuming and difficult the import will be due to the large amount of spreadsheet data that must be created, then imported and checked.

Working within the SAP Business One Rules

To ensure integrity of the SAP Business One system, no third party application is given permission to write to the SAP Business One tables without using the DI API. The SAP Data Transfer Workbench (DTW) is a tool provided by SAP to import data to the SAP Business One tables using the DI API. The Eralis tables in the SAP Business One database are not bound by the same rules as SAP Business One tables.

Import templates with all the relevant fields are included in this zip archive. These can be used for mapping exercises between the existing Job system and the Eralis job system and then imported using the methods outlined.
