Job properties within Eralis Job are similar to the properties found within the standard SAP Business One business partner master form and the item master form. Within this setup form, the user can define all the property options that can be applied to jobs and subjobs. Job properties can be applied to both master jobs and individual subjobs. The properties grid for each of these are found under the General tab of a job or subjob master form.
Job properties are used specifically for filtering purposes, both in reports and other various parts of the Eralis Job add-on. For example, on the My Jobs screen, the user can filter the displayed jobs based on the selected properties. This allows the user to only see jobs that are specific to their needs or requirements. The job properties are also used as filters in the bulk processing wizard available within Eralis Job.
In the Job Properties Setup form, there is an Active column which allows the user to activate or deactivate specific values. It does not control the job or subjob. If the value is set to inactive and there are jobs or subjobs that have the value assigned, Eralis Job will provide a warning. However, it will still allow you to deactivate the value. If this is the case, the value will remain available on the jobs it is currently assigned to.
The options will also be displayed in the order in which they were entered. This is relevant in cases when they are displayed in list boxes or combo-boxes. The move-up and move-down buttons on the right-hand side of the form allows the company to control which order they are displayed in.
The Active column is intended to allow the row value to be activated or deactivated. It does not control the job or subjob. If the value is made inactive and there are jobs or subjobs that have the value assigned, Eralis Job will show a warning to let you know. However, it will still allow you to deactivate the value. In this case, the value will remain available on the jobs that they are currently assigned to. The list box or combo-box options will be displayed in the order that they were entered by default. You can use the move up and move down buttons on the right side of the form to control which order they are displayed in.
