When starting an Eralis add-on product, the product does a check to see if it is able to connect o the SQL database specified in the SAP Business One company settings.
SAP Business One will pass the SQL server details and the database name, but when the add-on product is installed, the person who does the installation needs to define a SQL user and password to connect to the SQL server with.
If during the start-up the add-on cannot connect to the SQL server due to the provided credentials, a window will pop up:
Please run the Eralis_Setpassword utility to set the correct connection details.
Enprise <<Product name>> will now terminate.
The Eralis_Setpassword utility is a small application that allows the SQL credentials to be entered and then saves them in the necessary places for the add-on application to use.
The utility can be found in the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\Eralis Solutions\Eralis <<module>>\
Please note the following:
- The username and password that are being entered relate to the SQL users and password and not Ms Windows users and passwords.
- Not all versions have the option to Use Trusted Connection - this should only be used if your system is configured to accept such a connection. Keep in mind that Report Writer does not support such connections and you will not be able to use forms and reports created in this Report Writer.
- In Windows environments with user access controls, please ensure that you use the right click option Run as Administrator to launch the utility.
