The following User Defined Fields are added to the Financial Journals form during the setup of Eralis Job:
- Subjob ID
- Item No.
Most of the financial journals being created are generated by Eralis Job, which means that user interaction is limited. It would be worthwhile using form settings to display the fields on the grid, along with the standard SAP Business One Project Code field. This provides the user with more information on which job and subjob the journals are linked to.
Financial journals created by the user can be linked to a job, which will then create a job line for that journal entry. This can be used for making adjustment to job costs or allocating overhead, etc. To link a journal entry:
- The standard SAP Business One Project Code field must identify the project code linked to the master job
- The Subjob ID field must identify the subjob
- And the Item No. field must be populated with a non-inventory item code that will be used on the job line that is created.
