The Stock Movement Variance account is a variance account that is used in instances where there has been a change in the average cost between the cost used on a job line and the cost held in the designated SAP Business One WIP (work-in-progress) warehouse.
For example, if an inventory line is cancelled off a job, Eralis Job will use the standard SAP Business One stock transfer to move the item from the designated WIP warehouse to the warehouse that is selected by the user. SAP Business One will automatically use the cost based on the SAP Business One cost determination method when doing the transfer. If this cost is different than the cost that is held on the job line, a journal entry is processed to move the difference to the Stock Movement Variance account.
