There are two ways to do this:
- Start the processing by raising an A/P transaction (such as an A/P invoice) which will reflect on the job.
You will then need to pay the A/P invoice via a payment type linked to the petty cash account. - Use the job journal entry function.
If you choose the Credit button, then the GL account specified will be credited and the debit will go to the Eralis Job WIP account.
The result is a cost on the job - this is visible from the Job Line Processing tab.
If the line is processed further, either written off or invoiced, then WIP reversed (CR) and the COGS account on the job is offset (DR), among other postings.
